a Surreal advert means that it is very unusual and Dream like, like it could never actually happen in real life. they are designed to be eye catching and to make you wonder what they are. the curiosity and vagueness of surreal adverts makes you think what it could be about. there is often an element of humour included as well to keep it interesting, because if something is too unusual it might put some people off. The trebor extra strong mint advert is an example of a surreal advert. it is completely vague and has almost nothing to do with the actual product till the very end. it is a dark and mysterious advert and all throughout you're thinking what is going on? its very good at being eye catchy and there is bits of humour throwin in to keep it fresh and appealing. the target audience is hard to determine because it doesnt really seem to be aimed towards anyone in particular.
