Talking heads adverts are when people from the ''general public'' are asked their opinions about the priduct in question. this is also sometimes refered to as Vox pops which is short for vox populi which means the voice of the people. The adverts are designed to make you believe what the people say because you believe that they are just regular members of the public where as more often than not they are just regular paid actors that are simply speaking from a script instead of their own opinion.
The colgate Senstive pro-relief is a prime example of Deception through talking heads. there is no disclaimer saying that the people being questioned arent actors but you instantly believe that they are just normal people because they use the pretense of filming in a shopping center and showing other people walking past. this is easily creatable with actors and extras but because it seems so real you dont think twice about if they are real people or not. you just listen to their opinions which i might add are badly acted out.
